An intercooler removes heat from the compressed charge air before it reaches the engine. Cooler air is denser and holds intake temperatures steadier through repeated hard runs. Core volume sets how much heat the cooler can absorb, while flow area and end-tank shape decide how much pressure is lost across it. Wagner Tuning lists a 660 x 180 x 110 mm core with 13.07 liters (+57% vs. the factory 8.3 liters) and a flow area of 1,188 cm² (+14% vs. OEM 1,043 cm²). These are Wagner's own comparisons with the factory intercooler; they describe cooling capacity and are not a power figure.
