Orders & Shipping

When will my order ship?

Most in-stock orders ship within 48 business hours (Mon–Fri). Processing time ≠ transit time. Custom/special-order items will have an ETA provided up front.

Do I need to sign for my package?

Orders valued at $800+ ship with Signature Required. If you won’t be home, use UPS My Choice or FedEx Delivery Manager to reroute or sign electronically where eligible.

Can I change my shipping address after checkout?

No. For fraud prevention, we do not change shipping addresses once the order is placed. If the order hasn’t shipped, you can cancel and re-order to the correct address (custom/special orders are not cancelable).

Order verification

To protect cardholders, we may require additional verification if your billing and shipping address do not match. Orders that fail verification will be canceled and refunded.

What shipping methods do you use?

We primarily ship UPS, FedEx, or USPS depending on the order. If you select Free Shipping, ORT reserves the right to choose the most economical ground method. Need speed? Select an expedited option at checkout.

Returns & Exchanges

What’s the return window?

Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery. You’ll need an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) — contact our team before sending anything back. Special-order or custom items cannot be returned.

Who pays for return shipping?

Simple:
- Our error (wrong part sent) → We’ll email you a prepaid label and waive all fees.

- Your error (wrong item ordered) → Return shipping is on you. Don’t forget the RMA
number or the package will be refused.

Is there a restocking fee?

Yes. Returns are subject to a 10% restocking fee + 3% card processing fee. Installed,
damaged, or used parts cannot be returned.

What if my box shows up damaged?

- Note it with the carrier at delivery if possible.
- Open and inspect immediately.
- You have 48 hours to send us photos and open a claim. After that window, claims may be denied.

Product Availability

Do you stock everything on the site?

We wish we could, but no shop can stock every single SKU. We keep hot sellers and core items on hand, while many items ship directly from our industry partners. If something is time-sensitive, it’s best to reach out and confirm availability before placing an order.

What about special-order parts?

Special-order and custom items are built specifically for you. Lead times vary — we’ll
provide an ETA at the time of purchase. These items are non-cancelable and non-returnable once production starts.

Why does my order say backordered?

Backorders happen when demand outpaces supply. If an item you ordered is on backorder, we’ll notify you with the updated timeline. You can either wait for restock or request alternatives if available.

Legal & Disclaimers

Are all products road legal?

Not always. Some aftermarket parts are intended for off-road or track use only. It’s the buyer’s responsibility to check local, state, and federal laws before installation or use.

Emissions notice 

Certain products (exhaust, intakes, software, etc.) may not comply with emissions
regulations in all states, including California. Unless a part is specifically labeled with a
CARB EO number, it should be assumed not legal for sale or use on pollution-controlled vehicles in California.

⚠️ California Residents: If you place an order for a non-compliant item, ORT will cancel and refund the order. We cannot ship products that violate California emissions laws.

Product fitment and use

Products sold by ORT Motorsport are designed for North American, left-hand drive vehicles unless otherwise stated. Buyer is responsible for verifying compatibility before purchase.

Warranty coverage

Most products carry the manufacturer’s warranty only. ORT Motorsport does not extend or modify those warranties. Claims are handled in accordance with the manufacturer’s policies.

Buyer responsibility

By purchasing from ORT Motorsport, you accept full responsibility for the installation, use, and legality of any product. ORT Motorsport is not liable for damages, injuries, or penalties resulting from misuse or non-compliance with laws or regulations.
