5 Bar TMAP and PUT Sensors For VW/Audi MQB Cars
Whenever upgrading your turbocharger to a larger than stock unit, and looking to produce more than 29Psi of boost pressure (Manifold Relative Pressure / Boost) you need to upgrade your TMAP and PUT Sensor in order to allow the ECU proper visibility and control over the pressure. Luckily, we have a plug-and-play solution to do just that!
- EQT 5 Bar TMAP (Temperature / Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor that plugs right into the OEM location on top of the intake manifold and utilizes a factory connector so no wiring, adapter harness, or need to modify your intake manifold!
- EQT 5 Bar PUT (Post Upstream Throttle) that is installed right into your OEM or aftermarket throttle pipe.
Do I need Upgraded Sensors?
Upgraded Sensors are a necessary upgrade for any Big turbo, if you're on pump gas or E85. the EQT 5bar sensors will allow you to make the most power your turbocharger has to offer.
For example, EQT Vortex equipped vehicles, there are still power gains to be made beyond the stock sensor limits (29 Psi) with peak boost pressure around 33-34 Psi.
Easy Plug-and-Play Installation
Please note: custom tuning it required. Upgraded sensors will not work on factory/staged tune applications.
These sensor replace the factory location sensors and installation/removal is the same as OEM. Please reference your Factory Service Manual for the correct procedure.
- The EQT TMAP sensor replaces the G71/G42 Sensor on your vehicles intake manifold as shown in the diagram below
- The EQT 5 Bar PUT sensor will go in place of the OE G31 Sensor on your vehicles throttle pipe as shown in the diagram below.
