Carbotech XP8 racing brake pads for the Porsche 911 C2/C4 (997), rear axle. XP8 is a high-torque competition compound for track days and racing, not a street pad.
Brake pad friction material works within a temperature window: below it the pad has less bite, and well above it the pad can fade. A competition compound like XP8 is built for the high end of that window, which is why it suits track use and not daily driving. Carbotech rates XP8 for an operating range of 200°F to 1,250°F+ with good cold bite, a high coefficient of friction, good modulation and release, and high fade resistance. It recommends XP8 as a front pad for lighter race cars, especially cars with downforce, where high and immediate friction is called for.

Before you order
- Not for street use (Carbotech). XP8 is a competition pad; Carbotech says it can still be driven to and from the track.
- No pad-wear sensor slot. Competition pads do not carry a wear sensor, so check pad thickness visually.
- Carbotech advises choosing front and rear compounds together so the axles work as a matched pair.
- Confirm the vehicle, axle and disc type in the product title before ordering.
