The EQT Billet Coolant Vent Union is a high-performance upgrade designed to replace the fragile factory plastic coolant union found on EA888 Gen3 and Gen4 engines. Located near the turbocharger, the OEM plastic union is exposed to intense heat, often becoming brittle and prone to failure over time. By switching to EQT’s billet aluminum solution, you reduce the risk of coolant leaks and improve overall engine reliability.
Precision-machined from billet 6061-T6 aluminum, this union is built to handle extreme temperatures and harsh engine bay conditions. A sleek black anodized finish adds corrosion resistance and long-lasting aesthetics, making it as durable as it is functional.
Problems With The Factory Coolant Vent Union
The turbo coolant vent union is located on top of the head of MQB 1.8T and 2.0T vehicles.
From factory the coolant vent union is plastic and quite fragile. Often times when doing jobs such as an aftermarket turbocharger, this plastic coolant vent union breaks leading to leaks, delays, and potentially much more serious issues if not caught and resolved right away!
Our solution was to create a CNC machined direct replacement for this part to eliminate these potential issues.
